I stubbled onto your website today while snooping the web.  Great site.  Toma(1968) and I(1967) are  clearly much younger than most of you, except for Susan Capasso (she is apparently on hold in her 30s), so you may not remember us.  We remember most of you since we since were the under-classmen looking up to you our mayure seniors. Truly you are SENIORS.  Toma and I have been living in Spartanburg, SC since 1978, we have two sons and three grandsons.  Toma stopped working (legal administration) about five years ago and I will retire after 33 yeras from Michelin Tire Corp at the end of 2011.  We are all blessed to be in good health have had a wonderful life so far.  All of you look great and we really enjoyed reminiscing the old days.God bless you all.

My dear friends from VHS of 66, where on earth has the time gone?  It passes & we stay the same! YEAH! I think of you all so often--never a day goes by that some one comes to mind.  We grew up in the BEST place ever.  I doubt we knew it at the time but we sure do now.  Its cold & dreary here and I\'m just wishing, ah to be in Venice, walking the beach or just watching the waves.  I\'m just a sucker for the good ole days.  Next will be the BIG ONE!!  50yrs, can you believe that & we are only 39yrs!  Ha!  Miss you all----Carol

Hello Everyone!
Thanks to John for keeping things up to date and I appreciate everyone including me in the emails for contact.  At this point I have gone to Florida numerous times but usually have business in the Panama City and Crystal River area and don't make it further south.  However, my sister and brother-in-law are moving down to Venice area within the next few months and that will add additional incentive to make it down.  Nokomis is my favorite place in Florida and if I had my druthers I would live there...maybe some day.  The winters are rough up here but I am working and will keep plowing/shoveling along until I retire.  I think of all of you and would love to talk with you and know how you are doing.  Life is good, my heart is full and look forward to visiting when I can.  I have earmarked the All Class Reunion this summer.  For those of you interested in a multitude of pictures of all my seven kids and their families I do have a facebook page.  My daughters set me up as one lives in NYC and one in Alaska and they always want pictures of neices from MI.  I'm the Nana that has the kids as often as possible so post pictures of them when they visit.  Again-my thoughts are with you all and please keep me informed on what is happening.

I had a very close call after visiting a church Sunday! A women accidentally bumped into me with such recoiling force that it sent me air-born toward a head first tumble down 20 slip proof concrete steps, leaving me unconscious once I hit bottom.

I was horizontally escorted into the emergency room with 86 bad cuts and nasty abrasions, 123 bruises & contusions, 7 whopper sized goose eggs and all the bandages one body could hold!

Fortunately, I am a rapid healer. The morning after, instead of feeling like a mack truck hit me, I actually felt better! Within 2 days the goose egs had disappeared, most of the bruising had vanished, and now 5 days later I am down to 3 band aids, a stiff and quickly healing  shoulder and a slightly sprained thumb that feel better every day.

No fractures, concussion, infections or brain damage! HALLELUJAH! PRAISE GOD!!!

Well, hello my friends!

I now have 11 grandkids -Yikers!

My one-man band has become one of the most notable & requested acts in North /Central Florida and South Georgia! I now have booking thru March of 2010, but still have openings here and there for 1-2 night engagements.

My performances put forth such wonderful live music and multiple vocals so that I sound like 8-12 people!

Hope to hear from those of you who have not called or written in a while! God Bless! -

It is strange that no one has signed this guestbook since 2007 (Dr. Roy). So here goes. since moving ot Missouri about 20 years ago the trips back get more spread out. and everything changes dramaticly when you do go back. With children in Oregon and Arkansas It become more important to see grandkids than beach and sand, Wiil be down some day and would love so see old friends. 55 years will be in 2011. Not really that far away..

Hey Ya'll! Ever since retiring from the porfessional entertainment industry in 1992, my personal and music industry friends have been begging me to put an act together, Well, finally their wishes have come true! I have created a one man band which I call "Dr. Roy'z Magical Musical Time Machine" where I play my guitars, kick bass pedals and back it up with a high tech drum machine. I sing & play over 350 top tunes from the mid-fifties thru present day cover songs, and will be doing one-night stands of all kinds! In September I will be appearing at The famous House of Jam here in Jax! -Sure is nice to be back! ROY

What a wonderful website! Thank you John and the rest of the Committee for bringing us back together again. With this website you have enticed so many of us to attend the reunion and/or get in touch with those we have lost contact with over the years. I've been pulling pictures out and going through the yearbooks and yes, even found my class ring. 40 years, how can it be? Looking forward to seeing all of you. God Bless

Reaching back into memories of growing up in Nokomis and experiences at VHS, I am filled with gratitude and wonder. I was blessed with such a good place I called home and, even better, such wonderful people whom I could genuinely call friends. Truly a rich heritage! I am looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Many thanks to John Pitcock and the others responsible for designing this class reunion website for us. For even more information about our current VHS, go to our high school website. Hello and warmest greetings from the West Coast. Jo and I both often are struck with memories of incidents and personalities; high points and low points, and all of you. We have many questions and wonders and hope that many of you are as happy as we are 40 years later. From bright horizons of the North Pacific...we think of you often.

This fantastic website certainly highlights how far we've come since high school....remember the purple-ink duplicating machines? What a difference today in our lives and lifestyle. Back then: no cell phones...no microwave ovens! How did we survive? As a high school teacher, I still remain young at heart although recently, when my students learned it was my birthday and asked how old I was, I confessed to being 58 at which point one of my little darlings said, "Mrs. Sanders, you're older than my grandmother!" Boy that brought me back to the fact that we've been out of high school for 40 years! When did you realize YOU weren't eighteen anymore? Ben and I hope to see you at the reunion. Nancy Sanders

Wow!! Very impressive website and a great idea. I have not seen anyone except Susie McCracken, since our 10th. And it has been years since I have been to Venice. No family ties there anymore. I have to look back and view each segment of my life as adventures or chapters. But nothing can take the place or compare with the memories of our youth. It saddens me to see the list of those that we have lost. Hopefully I can make it to Venice for the reunion. We ain't getting any younger.

Thanks, Dr. Roy, for telling me about this outstanding Web site, which will really help to bring people together. I know you guys will have a great time in October. Too bad I was in the class of '65. :-) Best regards to all my old friends and acquaintances in the wild 'n' crazy class of 1966. Keep on rockin'! Paul Thayer

the website looks great john. we appreciate all of your time and effort, after all, you are the "masta' of the web" the responses we've received from our classmates so far are highly encouraging. it appears that the forty year mark is a time that is plunking away at the heart strings of those that spent many of the best years of their lives here in Venice, the "little village by the sea".
